Fear Factor the tv show turned Universal Studios attraction is closing today after a 3 1/2 year run at the Orlando theme park.
While Fear Factor may be down it is not out. According to Universal Orlando execs the temporary closing of Fear Factor is based on a drop in park traffic and the Live show will re-open later in the Spring and during the busy summer season.
Other shows at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure may see changes as well. Word is that several shows will have fewer offering each day. So a show that was running 3 times a day may decrease to 2 times a day.
Universal execs noted that park visitors may not notice the change since this chagce is based around attendance projections. So as attendance increases over holidays shows will be added back.
